Parkinson’s Disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder. One of the most common signs is shaking or tremors. It tends to aggravate as time passes. It mostly affects people over the age of 60, but in rare cases, it can also appear in people as young as 20 or 30.
The symptoms of Parkinson’s can be different for each person. They often start off mild and gradually become more noticeable with time.
At Citi Neuro Centre, a range of diagnostic tests are performed to confirm Parkinson’s Disease and assess its stage:
Physical and neurological exam
Blood test
Lab tests
MRI / PET Scan
Genetic testing
These tests help determine the best course of treatment based on each individual’s condition.
